50/50 Rule

Hello Everyone,

The news media has never failed to find something to write or report. That is why they can report news 24 hours a day. With that in mind I want to share with you about the news. Always keep in mind the 50/50 rule of thought. What the news media reports has a 50% chance of being correct. And 90% chance of being slanted. The 10% is used for those who know the truth. It is most likely 10% of even less is correct in a story that has been 50% told right in the first place. One day soon we all shall the truth, and the truth is in Jesus.

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32

Destructive Pride

Hello Everyone,

I have met many folks who aren't sure that they know what is God's will. You can start by knowing that sin is not God's will in your life. Way too many folks are proud of their sin. They relay to me that they would not be ashamed nor try to hide it if they were confronted by God Himself. I wished that I could share with how many times I have seen statements like that come back on folks. One fellow saw nothing wrong with drinking beer, until his wife and kids were killed by a drunk driver. I have often wonder how he feels about drinking now. Be sure you know this God's will is not participating in sin.

Put your trust in God

Hello Everyone,

In these last days it seems that folks have the attitude that the preacher can trust God but they can't. I don't see how you can do that! Well you can start by trusting God and leave all your bad news in God's hands. NO ONE needs to worry about what could happen. No wonder there are so medicines. We know that with God all things are possible and that God does all things well. That you trust God for, for is God brought you to it, it is God that will get your through it. So trust God even if you are not a preacher.

"But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works." Psalms 73:28Remember Always, "God does all things well."

Quitters

Hello Everyone,

One day a Christian man told me that he was not able to go farther. He doesn't believe that God can get him through it. He doesn't care that God has gotten him through before. It matters not what other think or say. He became a quitter.

Are you a quitter? I truly believe that you are able to finish your course. even if you don't think so. The biggest difference is whose team you are on. Team players encourage each other. Allow me to give you a simple thought. If you are on the Lord team, then you have Jesus on your team, that makes you a WINNER. Yes with man nothing is possible and you will quit. With God all things are possible. Amen, I like being on the winning team.

"And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible." Mark 10:27

Memories

Hello Everyone,

One of things that blesses my soul is to hear one of sons tell of something that we did in the past. Many times I have been the pain in their sides from laughing so hard. It is those wonderful moments that we get to laugh together again. I like to share these moment in my memories. It is then that I realize that with children you are creating memories. Don't forget to share with them your love for them and be sure to introduce them to Jesus.

SMILE

Hello Everyone,

There is a need for everyone to do their best, no matter how we feel. Just because you aren't at your best doesn't mean that others should suffer and get your worse. You have to fight through it. Remember that others have bad days and don't feel good either. Just like it isn't your fault that they are feeling bad or having a bad day. Here is something new to try, we could all use this, SMILE and see is you help someone to have a better day.

Stopped or Limited

Hello Everyone,

I have found that when things come into a person life, it does one of two things. It either stops them cold or it just limits them. For example a broken foot is a very serious injury. To some it stops them from doing anything and they become if only for a short period of time disabled. They start to command expect others to met their needs. Then there are those who only allow a broken foot to limit them from having their needs met. They learn to deal with it and adjust to what is available. Going about their life temporarily limited. No crying or whining. Hey, if God brought you to it, then God will get your though it. Yea, life is at times not a bed of roses, it is up to you to decide if these things are going to stop you or limit you.

"I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:12-13

On or Off

Hello Everyone,

Many years ago there was pole taking and the question was asked, "How long have you been a Christian?" 1 out of 3 confessed that they were beleivers. One old fellow told that them that he had been a Chirstian off and on for nearly forty years now. Sad to think that Christians are off and on. I pray that this speaks to the heart of those who are off and on Christians. There are many things that accompany salvation and being off and on is not mentioned.

"But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:" Hebrew 6:9-11

The Attack

Hello Everyone,

A wolf will never attack and full grown adult as long as there are little lambs around. The story was told of a shepherd who was very quiet and distant to all others around him. He had a look of tears ready to flow down his cheeks. It was later learned that he had lost 63 lambs to wolves that night. He was heart broken. That is the way it is in wildlife. Lions attack the little ones first then they pick on the weak. If none of these are available then they go for the one that they can catch. The truth is that they will not stop attacking and destroying, until there is none left or they are gone.

Press On

Hello Everyone,

Remember when as a child you were picked to be the leader of some activity? I think that everyone wants to be a leader of some sort. Maybe they wanted to be that person that makes a real impact or lasting difference with others. Why do you think that is? I believe within every heart is a desire to be somebody special. We want to feel good about ourselves and that we made a difference. However the real problem begins when with most folks is that they do not understand who they are in Christ Jesus. So they never actually realize that God has equipped them to make a difference for Him. Press one and just follow Jesus.

God is Able Again

Hello Everyone,

God is able, right? No matter what God is able. You have no better friend than God that is able to meet all your needs. I have shared this with you before about a Sunday School teacher was trying to make it clear to her class that God was able. At the end of the class she asked is there anything that God is not able to do? One little boy spoke up and said, "God can't please everybody!" There may be more truth to that statement than we would want to admit. God can and does all things well. But for some folks that is still an impossibility. Some folks are just too determined. For those folks I asked that you that you determination that God can't and turn it around, you will be happy to know that God is able to do all things well.

"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:" 2 Corinthians 9:8

Correct Answer

Hello Everyone,

We are raised to know that 2=2=4 and that is the correct answer. We are taught and encouraged to work toward right answers. Sometimes we fail, but failing is just another opportunity to try again, this time with more wisdom. However there are times that you do not have but one chance to get it right. There is no room for second chances nor second thoughts. One area this is of the utmost important is to be Born Again. There is only one way. The world and religion would have you to believe otherwise. We can apply the same truth here, there is only one correct answer. Jesus is that way. No other way will do.

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6

Busy Days

Hello Everyone,

We were late getting home and my best friend said unto me, "It is so nice to be home, just to sit down and do nothing." My best friend is my wife and I believe that we can just do nothing or be busy doing something and have still the best time together. We will soon be off and running again in the morning. It is going to be a busy day. I pray that although you have busy days that you don't allow anything to keep you from spending time with God. He really is your Best Friend.

Goes Wrong

Hello Everyone,

I was watching these fellow placing these dominoes all in a row. They had planned many different directions and effects along the way. It really is exciting to watch. Once the one starts then all the others follow. However at times something goes wrong. Then all the attention is centered on that one bad incident rather than all the thousand of that had gone right. Life is so much like that. If one person were to go wrong then they get the attention, leaving all the ones that have never gone astray in the same boat. Sad day we live in, and what is so much sadder is that in many cases it is true.

Which Side

Hello Everyone,

Remember most questions are asked to determine which side you are on. For example, if you were to be asked what do you think of our president? Another example would be as simple as who do you like U of K or U of L? One question that I am always being asked is do you really believe everything in the Bible? You see the question is not about me nor about my belief it is all about where I stand with the Word of God. The same applies to when ever the name of Jesus is proclaimed it is to determine whose side you are on. I pray that you are on the winning side. With Jesus you are the winner.

"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

Time off

Hello Everyone,

I will be taking this week off. I pray that everyone will find time to read and study your Bible and share Jesus with all that come your way. May the Lord Bless.

"Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Surgery

Hello Everyone,

Folks get hurt and sometimes the hurt only requires a Band-Aid. At times there may be a need for stitches or minor surgery. Then there are times when major surgery is a must. I want to talk about surgeries because I have been spending a lot of time around the hospital. Folks are being operated on for everything and a lot of it is elected surgery. God is the best when it comes to surgery. His Word can cut all the way to the spiritual inside. That is a place where man can not go. The trouble these days is that so many folks don't like the surgery that God preforms because goes into the thought, the intention and the inner heart.

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12
