Values above All

Hello Everyone,
Remember - Jesus Christ is not valued at all until He is valued above all.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”  Matthew 6:33

Eyes to See

Hello Everyone,
I have seen folks who change their ways once they see the light. I have also seen folks only change when they feel the heat. Pray that the Lord give you eyes to see.

“The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” Matthew 6:22

Believing You

Hello Everyone,
Truth is that once you are lied to, you become upset. Not that you lied to me, but that from now on I am going to have hard time believing in you.

“A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.”  Proverbs 14:5

Lies and More Lies

Hello Everyone,
Once you tell one lie and you are forced to tell others to back it up. Stretching the truth doesn’t change anything. Those that think telling a little white lie will soon grow colorblind.

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”  Ephesians 4:29

Doing my Thing

Hello Everyone,
I remember when my son was at the age where he thinks that he should be able to do as he likes. What I have found is that some of man’s worst difficulties begin when he is able to do as he likes.

“Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”  2 Timothy 2:22

Learning By

Hello Everyone,
Someone told me that we learn:  1% through taste.  1.5% through touch   3.5% through smell   11% through hearing  83% through sight. Maybe a lot of truth to that.

“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”  Romans 15:4

Stages of Learning

Hello Everyone,
Along life’s highway your learning usually passes through three stages. In the beginning you have to learn the right answers. In the second state you have to learn the right questions. But in the third stage you learn which questions are worth asking and need answers.

“A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:” Proverbs 1:5

Faithful to Jesus

Hello Everyone,
Listen carefully and allow this to speak to your heart. A wife who is 85% faithful to her husband is not faithful at all. The same could and can be said about part-time loyalty to Jesus Christ.

“This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.”  Titus 3:8

Unity

Hello Everyone,
I have expressed this to the church in a number of ways. We are here together as brothers and sister in Christ, TOGETHER  A pastor can not get too far ahead of his members, if he does, he is often gets mistaken for the enemy.

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”  Psalms 133:1

Bridges of Life

Hello Everyone,
A wise man once told us that the hardest thing to learn in life is which bridge to cross and which to burn.

“Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.” Psalms 25:4

Leadership

Hello Everyone,
Leadership is the ability to put the plans into practice, and to accomplish the objectives through people. There is why we are in need of good leaders. One who is capable of making good decisions, even under pressure or in conditions of uncertainty; one who can guide people through actions not with just words.

“Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” Matthew 15:14

Living by Faith

Hello Everyone,
Moses gave 365 prohibitions and 248 positive commands. David reduced them to 11 in Psalm 15. Isaiah made them 6 (Isaiah 33:14, 15). Micah 6:8 binds them into 3 commands. Habbakuk reduces them all to one great statement: The just shall live by faith.

“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17

Laugh A Lot

Hello Everyone,
I was told that the average child laughs 150 times a day. I think that there is no better for the soul than to hear the laughter of a child. Because when we get older average adult laughs only 15 times.

“Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.”  Psalms 126:2

Trust God

Hello Everyone,
Hudson Taylor, founder of China Inland Mission, in the closing months of his life said to a friend, "I am so weak. I can't read my Bible. I can't even pray. I can only lie still in God's arms like a little child and trust." Praise the Lord you can trust God.

“Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.”  Psalms 16:1

Deep Studies

Hello Everyone,
Now there was a deep study many years ago that was of the utmost importance for you and me to know. It was sponsored by the United States Public Health Service, in Daytona, Florida. All the money and time was dedicated to tell you and I that kissing can cause tooth decay!

“Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.”  1 Peter 5:14

Justice

Hello Everyone,
Injustice is easy to bear; what I have found is that if we got what we deserve, it is that justice that really stops the heart.

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” Romans 3:10-12

Confess your Faults

Hello Everyone,
It was F.B. Meyer, I believe, who once said that when we see a brother or sister in sin, there are two things we do not know: First, we do not know how hard he or she tried not to sin. And second, we do not know the power of the forces that assailed him or her. We also do not know what we would have done in the same circumstances.

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. “  James 5:16

Being Obedient

Hello Everyone,
If you want true joy in your life then there is something that one must do and be consistent at it. Being obedient

“Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.”  Psalms 32:11

Names of Jesus

Hello Everyone,
I am told that there are two hundred and fifty-six names given in the Bible for the Lord Jesus Christ. I suppose this was because only one name could not express all that Jesus was and is. Amen

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;” Philippians 2:10

Jesus Is

Hello Everyone,
Someone sent this to me and I thought it needed to be shared. Enjoy
Jesus began His ministry by being hungry, yet He is the Bread of Life.
Jesus ended His earthly ministry by being thirsty, yet He is the Living Water.
Jesus was weary, yet He is our rest. Jesus paid tribute, yet He is the King.
Jesus was accused of having a demon, yet He cast out demons.
Jesus wept, yet He wipes away our tears.
Jesus was sold for thirty pieces of silver, yet He redeemed the world.
Jesus was brought as a lamb to the slaughter, yet He is the Good Shepherd.
Jesus died, yet by His death He destroyed the power of death.

“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:17

Hello Everyone,
It's always easy the night before to get up early the next morning. Everyone from time to time have good intentions. It is those who can and do that go farther.

Only the Best

Hello Everyone,
The woods would be silent of all birds that sing, if the birds only waited on the ones that sing the best.

Wasting Time

Hello Everyone,
Experience proves that most time is wasted, not in hours, but in minutes. A bucket with a small hole in the bottom gets just as empty as a bucket that is deliberately kicked over.

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”  1 Corinthians 10:31
