Hello Everyone,

But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.   

Mark 14:61-62

 

That is where Jesus is today, sitting on the right hand of God.

A Far Off

 

Hello Everyone,

And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes. And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.  Mark 14:53-54

 

Way too many Christians are following Jesus afar off.

One Day Soon

And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.   Mark 14:41

 

One day soon the hour will again come. Jesus is coming.

Heavy Eyes

 

Hello Everyone,

And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words. And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.  Mark 14:39-40

 

Eyes today are heavy from the things of this world. Not prayers

Still Sleeping

 

Hello Everyone,

And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour? Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.  Mark 14:37-38

 

I am afraid that Jesus will return and still find many sleeping.

And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

A bitter cup that Jesus had to swallow for you and me.

Heart Breaking

 

Hello Everyone,

And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray. And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy; And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch. Mark 14:32-34

 

Remembering this breaks my heart knowing what Jesus was about to do.

Hello Everyone,

But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all.  Mark 14:31

 

Not many are willing to die for another. The Lord knows that.

Hello Everyone,

But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I. And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.  Mark 14:29-30

 

I wonder how many times folks are still denying that they will not denying the Lord?
