When we pray and ask, asking itself shows dependence on God. Seeking displays a yearning for Him. Knocking shows persistence. So spend your time persistently yearning for and asking God for the desires of your heart. Do you know what happens then? You have just spent a whole day talking with God. Now that might change your life!
