Coming Together

Hello Everyone,

My son has come home after living in Washington for a year. On his way home he drove by the Sequoia trees of California. He could not believe how tall and big these trees were, some as much as 300 feet above the ground. A fellow there told them that these giants have unusually shallow root systems. Seldom will you see a redwood standing alone, because high winds would quickly uproot it. That's why they grow in clusters. Their intertwining roots provide support for one another against the storms.

Amen now that is something that we as Christians can learn. Everyone has some sort of suffering, and no one can suffer for us. But just like those giant Sequoia trees, we can be supported in those difficult times by the prayers and understanding of loved ones and friends. It's when we are too proud to admit our needs to others that we are in the greatest danger.

"Therefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do." 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Remember Always, "God does all things well."
