Security Blanket

Hello Everyone,


Everyone is fearful about something at some time. Let me give you some hope. Love is the answer to overcoming your fear because love is the Christian’s security blanket. When you were a child, some held onto a teddy bear or a blanket that gave them a sense of security, something you wanted to hold close to you and get wrapped up in? Well, folks the Holy Spirit of God is the believer’s warm, loving security blanket. When I had read the verse, “Perfect love casteth out fear,” but it never rang true to me because I had never done anything perfectly except sin. God’s perfect love can eliminate all dread. It is not our love for Him, but His perfect love for us that will cast out our fears. The question isn't “Are you brave enough?” The question is “Do you trust God's love enough?”

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18
