Lightening

Hello Everyone,
Have you ever counted lightening strikes? You know, you start to count the very second you see lightening until you hear the crack. Sound travels at about 1 mile per 5 seconds so if you get to one thousand ten, the storm is about 2 miles away. You would then count the next one to see how fast it is coming your way. Each thunder and rumble would remind me of the power of God. I sure am glad that I am secure in the arms of God.

“The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters. The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.“

God's Promise

Hello Everyone,
The promises of God will be fulfilled exactly as He promised. If you do not know Christ He will fulfill the promise to save you if you’ll let Him. If you choose not to allow Him to redeem you from your sin, then remember this, all His promises will be fulfilled just as He promised as well.

Lighted Path

Hello Everyone,
Have you ever had a flat tire? It never happen at a convenient time. Most usually it happens at night or on an old road not traveled. If it happens at night you find yourself fumbling around. You know where everything is, but it is different at night. Then you remember your flashlight. Boy, what a blessing for that little light. As Christian it is the same way. We know what we are supposed to do but we keep stumbling along in the dark struggling. What a blessing to have God’s word to light the way. Does it make the things we have to do vanish away? No. But working in the light makes doing them a lot easier to face.

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105

The Good Men

Hello Everyone,  
What has happen to all the good men? When good men are in authority the people rejoice. God blesses men who love Him and attempt to do His will. Because God blesses righteous leaders, all who are under this righteous leader often receive the benefits of those blessings. The problem in today’s society seems to be we forget where all good things come from, God. Once we begin to be happy and content, we forget. We forget to keep the righteous in authority. We allow those with perverted views of Biblical morals to have the rule over us. Even worse, we vote them in. As Christians, we need to stand up for God’s Word. Not just at home, but also in the church, the neighborhood and at work or school. And more so today we must stand up for God’s truths in the voting booth. Even though no one else sees what you do on that ballot, God sees it.

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”  Proverbs 29:2

Opportunity

Hello Everyone,  
When troubles come, and they will, don’t always ask how I can get out of them. Instead, ask what I can get from this to help myself or someone else. Thank God for the opportunity to be the right ingredient for Him to use. God never makes mistakes. He creates masterpieces.

Divided

Hello Everyone,  
There are a lot of bad choices these days. And I will say that it is because we are not seeking God in our lives. Folks need to pick a mate because you know that they are the one that God has for us. Because this is a life time commitment. Same is to apply to our church. A church divided will struggle to serve God. Choose our work and service well. Struggling to do something God has not intended for us to do will be a long hard life. Choose well in all the areas of our life. A kingdom divided cannot stand.

“And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.”  Mark 3:24

Cool Water

Hello Everyone,
As a young fellow growing up, I knew where some underground springs were. I would go to them often to get a drink of good clean cool water. I can still taste that water today. One of the reason it was so good was because it was what I needed at that time. The importance of faithful church attendance is because it is what is needed for you at that time.

“As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.”  Proverbs 25:13

So Dark Out there

Hello Everyone,  
We have a cave called Mammon Cave that is said to the longest in the world. We took our sons there one time and the guide described the stalactites and stalagmites. He told how they had formed over time by mineral deposits. Then at one point he said, “Stand very still and no one move.” And it happened. He turned off the lights. I mean there was no light from anything and it grew very silent. It was so dark that you could not see your hand in front of your face. Now listen, even though there were people all around us, there was an eerie feeling of being all alone. When the lights came back on, we could see everyone again. That is the way we can get in our fellowship with God. We wonder why God has forsaken us. The truth is, God never moved. However, in the darkness of this world it may seem sometimes like we are all alone. As believers we must remember we are never alone. God is always there, even there in our darkest hour.

“My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?” Psalms 22:1

Wisdom

Hello Everyone,
I do believe that we would all agree that we all need wisdom. Not so much worldly wisdom; but we need wisdom from God to face the issues confronting us every day. We must make Godly wisdom a personal priority. Of course, the greatest resource for wisdom is the Word of God. The Bible reveals wisdom for every area of our lives, either by direct teaching or by Biblical principles.

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7

Don't go There

Hello Everyone,
We my boys were little they would come home squalling about one thing or another. Many times my answer would be, “You were not suppose to be there in the first place.”  Many times since then I have done the same thing to God. And I can hear Him say unto me, “You were not suppose to be there in the first place.” The Lord is always right. He takes care of me. He watches out for me. Even if it means reminding me he had warned me this would happen. Many times my greatest enemy is me!


“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”  2 Timothy 2:19

King's Heart

Being Honest

Hello Everyone,
Children can be so cruel just by being honest. They don’t mean to be cruel, and really, they are just telling the truth (usually). When a child is asked a question like, “Do you want to grow up to be like your daddy?” They may come back with an answer such as; “No way, he’s fat.” We just smile and walk away thinking one day they too will have noticeable flaws.

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”  Romans 3:10-12

Just the Basics

Hello Everyone,
When Jesus walked on this earth, people wanted just the basics. Therefore, Jesus did just that. He told them, to love Me completely. Not just part of you, but all of you. Make Me the center of your life. Also, show the people around you the love I have had for you. If you have given Me your whole self, heart, mind, and soul, then loving others should be no problem. You know what? They walked away the same way they came. Looking for something more.


“Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. The World's hate

He's Working on Me

Little Children

Hello Everyone,  
I have to admit that there are times that I am envious of the little children. They play, laugh, run, jump, and seemingly have no cares in this world. The biggest fear for my sons was that the day would end too soon. They hated to hear, “Time for bed.” The cares of this world has robbed us of our joy of playing, laughing and enjoying our lives. Let us rejoices for God calls us “Little Children.”

Gambling

With all the money troubles we have , including the government, the idea of gambling becomes enticing to say the least. However It would be better to wait upon the Lord and His timing and His plan than to cave into the vises of sin and of man.

God is Above All

Hello Everyone,  
God is above all. He is above all men, all of nature, all calamities, all problems, all fears, and all wows. However, at the same time He also has the absolute power to make a difference in any of those things.  Now this is amazing to me, for at a moments notice I can call upon Him and He will answer.
