I have always told my sons that wisdom helps a man that learns from the mistakes of others. Nobody lives long enough to make them all himself. So gather as much information you can from the mistakes of others.
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.” Psalms 111:10
