God's Will

Hello Everyone,

Every saint of God that has ever done anything for God was a person who recognized God as the great creator and that this creator has a plan for them. Finding God's will starts with folks who fear God and keep His commandments. That is your duty and that will allow you and I to know God's will. Be sure of this, God has a plan for you and I.

"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:" Philippians 1:6

High Priest

Hello Everyone,

God made plans for the construction of the Tabernacle. God then filled it with various articles that were absolutely rich in information. The whole Bible is about Jesus. The Tabernacle speaks of Jesus. The Brazen Altar speaks of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. The Veil reminds us that there is a gulf between God and man and that it was torn into by Jesus. The Golden Candlesticks reminds us that Jesus is the light of the world and that He came to lead men out of darkness. Even the covering points to Jesus. The same is true for the Golden Altar of Incense. It shows forth the Lord as our Great High Priest. The one that makes intercession for us to God.

"Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession." Hebrews 4:14

Meditation

Hello Everyone,

Meditation is a quiet moment of contemplating spiritual truths. Meditation should be centered around God's Word, Laws and Instructions. To gain a better understanding, a clever knowledge and spiritual insight. It covers remembrance of good and bad. To place all things in order. Please remember this, jot it down in your Bible or where ever, but remember, As the pages get dirty in your Bible, the cleaner your heart becomes.

"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Joshua 1:8

Toe the Line

Hello Everyone,

I was at one of my sons basketball game and watched as a fellow walked up to the foul line to shoot two free throws. He carefully watched as he placed his toes as close to the foul line as possible. That reminded me of how often folks do walk as close to the line as possible. They get right up next the line or boundaries without going over. The problem which needs to be address is that there is always someone watching. Watching to see if you go over the line. Remember this - God is watching.

"For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over my sin?" Job 14:16

Go Back

Hello Everyone,

There is nothing in this world as precious as the relationship with Jesus. Oh how sweet it is to come to the knowledge of knowing Jesus as your personal Saviour. It is a time of sweet fellowship, time of humbling, a time of casting your cares into the air and trusting in God. A time of trusting in Jesus and what He did on the cross. It was an event that changed your life, brought forth new beginnings and joy unspeakable. But things happen in your life. Things that some how find you caught up into the things of this world. You find yourself drifting away, ever so little, not so as to be seem by others, but you know. You come to the place where you say, "Stop the boat, I want to get off." And get back to where you once was with Jesus. Do it today you will be glad you did.

"And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went." Genesis 35:3

Cool Water

Hello Everyone,

When I was growing up Grandpa had a mule. I was given the job of watering that mule. So I would go and draw water out of this well for this mule. There had been plenty of times while out playing I would return to that well and take that bucket that was attached to a rope and draw water out for me to quench my thirst. It was good water. I remember that I would drop that bucket in the well, waiting with anticipation a drink of cool fresh water. Listen, Faith was that bucket. Faith couldn't quench my thirst, but faith could reach out and take a hold of some water that could. Faith never quenched the thirst of a sinner, but Faith could reach out and take a hold of a Saviour who gives that living water, that everlasting water, so that we will never thirst again.

"And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you." Matthew 9:28-29

Certain Man

Hello Everyone,

Jesus' story of the Good Samaritan recorded in the Gospel according to Luke aptly answers the self justifying lawyer's two questions, “What shall I do to inherit eternal life?” and , striving to justify himself, “Who is my neighbor?” Clearly the “certain man” going down from Jerusalem into Jericho portrays the plight of fallen man which has departed from the presence of God and is headed for the stronghold of sin. Like him, mankind fell among thieves, was robbed of his glory, wounded and left half dead. “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way.” As you walk through your day note the "certain man" who have today fell among thieves, lost their glory and is left half dead, They may be wearing a suit or lying in a gutter. Don't pass by on the other side, be a Good Samaritan and invite them to know Jesus Christ.

"And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." Luke 14:23

Blindness

Hello Everyone,

John Newton wrote a little known song called, "Amazing Grace" In which he described his own wonderful salvation experience. "I was blind but now I see." There are thousands of blind folks in our world and there must have been plenty in Jesus's day for He healed the blind often. Blindness is a picture of an unsaved person. That is why the song is so popular even today. For truly I was blind and now I see my need for Jesus as my personal Saviour.

"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." 2 Corinthians 4:3,4

Knowledge

Hello Everyone,

When I read Mark chapter 6 it was exciting to see that Jesus sent his disciples out with only a staff and their sandals. It was like Jesus was telling them to walk softy but carry a big stick. When I was much younger I had a paper route and this little fellow was going to teach me a lesson and started pushing on me. I don't know that I have all the story straight but I do know that little fellow did not like the outcome. There is a time to run and then there is a time to fight. Knowledge comes when you know the difference.

Put it Down

Hello Everyone,

I was talking with a man in the hospital once and he was sharing with me all his troubles and he was wearied. I asked him to pick up a glass of water beside his bed and he did so. It did not weigh too much but after some time it starts to get heavier. After hours and maybe a day it can become a real pain and hurt. So what do you do? You put it down, right? That is the smart thing to do then after you have regained your strength you can pick it up and go back to holding that glass of water. Then after awhile it will get heavy again, put it down. Finally you will get to the place where you won't hold it no more than you have to. Listen carefully, some where along that time you will find yourself asking, why am I holding this glass of water?
Put it down and give it to God.

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us," Hebrews 12:1

Invitation

Hello Everyone,

Have you ever been invited to a very formal dinner? I mean a real nice one where maybe the President or very wealthy person would be attending. No! Well you have now. We all have been invited to a dinner hosted by a far more wealthy or famous host than the President. According to the Bible God Himself is hosting a dinner one of these days real soon called the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

I would be honored if some great person would call me and invite me to a dinner he is hosting. I would go. Just Like I am honored that God has invited me to attend. In fact I have already made my reservation. They are expecting me and I pray that the same can be said of you as well.

"And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God." Revelation 19:9

Truth

Hello Everyone,

Truth is a narrow path. If we were hiking and came to a wide river and needed to get across and learned that there was bridge that crosses the river a few miles down stream, we would not get mad, stomp off and moan about it not being here where you was and not a few miles away. Instead we would be thankful that there was a bridge and we can cross over. When one goes to a doctor for a prescription to get well, we would be startled if the doctor told us that these pills ought to cure you if you are sincere. Nor would we have much trust in a surgeon who has never had any training. No we wouldn't. You know that truth is narrow and you will only trust your life to someone who knows exactly what he or she is doing. Amen.

"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." John 4:23,24

Seek God

Hello Everyone,

At one time or another I believe that there comes a time in your heart when you will stop and search to find out about that empty feeling. Folks will stop all things and want to know all about that hole that in your heart. For each person it is at a different time. Some realize it at a young age and others it doesn't come until later in life. I was one of those it was later in life. There is that time when your heart tells you to seek. At first they don't know what to seek, nor where or who. They don't know when to seek only that their hearts says seek God.

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." Isaiah 55:6,7

Lunches

Hello Everyone,

My father and I used to work together. He was the foreman over the machine shop and I was over the assembly shop. My wife would make me a lunch and I never knew what was in my lunch, only that she made me a good lunch. Many times I would catch my dad in my office and I never really given it much thought on why he was in my office. One day my father was eating a real good looking orange and I went home and asked my wife if she would put oranges in my lunch. She told me she had been putting a orange in my lunch all week. Then I knew why my father was in my office.

Everyone is packing a lunch. And it matters what kind of lunch you are packing. You need good nutritional food that last and carry you through the day. The same applies to the Word of God, you need a good daily lunch of nutritional words that will last and carry you through the day.

"And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." John 6:35

Change Back

Hello Everyone,

God has not changed. God will never changed. Yet I believe in changes, I believe we should change back and make God - God again. We need to put His Bible back in authority and get back to the Word. That may be a little old fashioned, but it is what will work for you and me today.

Random Acts

Hello Everyone,

I've seen bumper stickers that exhort us to “show random acts of kindness.” I think that’s a good thing. And what is kindness? It’s love in the little things. A woman came down the aisle of a church to give her heart to Christ, and the preacher wanted to know what had impacted her life for Christ. She said, “You did.” The pastor said, “Well, I'd be interested to know what it was that I said that brought you to Christ.” She said, “It was nothing you said. It was something you did. I was standing nearby when somebody criticized you very unfairly. I saw the kindness with which you responded, and I knew that your faith was real.” I wonder what random act of kindness can you do today that will demonstrate that your faith is real?

“But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.” Luke 6:35

A Reflection on You

Hello Everyone,

A father smiles and tells his son to listen. He yells into a cave, "I admire you." The voice answered, "I admire you." He then yelled, "You sure are good looking." The voice returned, "You sure are good looking." The boy smiled but did not really understand. Then the father share with him that an echo gives back what you give. But it really is all about life. Life gives back what you give. Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. How true this is, for life will give back everything that we have given it. No more and no less. Think about your life it is not a coincidence it is a reflection of you.

Imperative

Hello Everyone,

Jesus asked two questions, "Whom do men say that I the Son of Man am?" "But whom say ye that I am?" The right view of Jesus is imperative. Right relationship with Jesus is imperative. Right service for Jesus is imperative. Therefore the questions Jesus asked over 2000 years ago is just as imperative to everyone today. "Whom say ye that I am?"

"He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?" And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." Matthew 16:15,16

Let it Go

Hello Everyone,

What would you do if you could do it over? What if there really was a rewind button that you could hit and do it over? There are two things that I see that have hindered many folks these days and that is living in the past and living for the future. While spending time with older folks they will delight you with all the things in the past. Being around some folks is sad for many of them live only for the future (their retirement) that may not come to pass. Way too many Christians have this "I used to be" wrapped around their hearts. I talked to a man that told me that he doesn't go to church anymore because of what happened in the past. Please don't let the past keep you from Serving Jesus today.

"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

Pack a Lunch

Hello Everyone,

The Bible tells us that Jesus took a young lad's lunch and fed a multitude of folks. We aren't told if anyone else thought to bring a lunch but this boy did. Maybe he had a mother that wanted him to prepared. Moms are good at that. Thank God for moms and dads that care enough to see that the children have what they need. We aren't old of any other mom packing a lunch that day, but one mom did. How many children are going to die and go to hell because they don't have a mom or dad that will see that the children have what they need. Children will not make right decisions on their own they must be guided and taught. Please take your children and grandchildren to Jesus.

"And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God." Mark 10:13,14
