Get it Right

Hello Everyone,

The Bible says better is the end of a thing than the beginning. And that is what I think about every time I start something new. I am so thankful for when I come to the end. Aren't you? Many times I have wished that I had not got started doing this or that, because I did not study long enough to understand what I was really getting myself into. Haven't You? And then I really get tired of doing something over again because I did not do it right the first time. Amen? Well praise the Lord, when I got saved I may not have known all that I know now, but I am glad that I got it right the first time. Jesus saves.

Your Part - God's Part

Hello Everyone,

A lady who had raised a larger family was being interviewed by a reporter. She had 6 of her own children and had adopted 12 others children. When asked the secret of her outstanding accomplishments, she replied, "I am in partnership!" When asked what she meant. She simply said, "Many years ago I said, Lord, I'll do the work and You do the worrying. I have not had an anxious care since." What a great example we can all benefit from if only we would just do our part and let God do His.

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." 1 Peter 5:7

God does all things well.

Hello Everyone,

The basement of the church got flooded from all this rain we have had lately. It came as a real surprised when we showed up Wednesday night to have over 4 inches of water over the whole basement floor. It seems that the sewers backed up because it could no longer do the job it was design to do. I have to tell you that was not what I was wanting to see when I went downstairs, and at first I was not giving thanks to God. But we give thanks now for God does all things well. Thank the Lord for new carpet.

"That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." Matthew 5:45

Believers

Hello Everyone,

This is old news now, but one of the most deadly man alive is now dead. It is a sign of relief to many around the world. Many of those who lost families and friends due this mad killer are thankful. I was asked my thoughts of the killing of this man, My only response is, "He is now a believer!" You see whether you die and go to Heaven or Hell, all that die are beleivers.

"And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom." Luke 16:22-23

Higher and Higher

Hello Everyone,

Well, here we are again talking a lot about gas prices. No one has been able to explain to me why gas keeps getting higher. But the effect is starting to show up in other areas as well. So what is the answer you ask. Well, if you listen to the consumer guide we are in real need to invest in energy efficient products. All these money saving products will help everyone in the long run. Well I am weary at best over all these savings, but there is one thing that I am sure of and that is when Jesus saves you - you are saved for eternity. Amen

Amazing Grace

Hello Everyone,

You do realize the amazing grace we have with God. All you have to do is look around in this world, and then take a peek into your heart. As sinners we were bitter enemies with God. Yet for His Son's sake God showed kindness to whosoever. When you think of who you are, it is amazing to think that God would do such a thing as sending His only Begotten Son to die on an old rugged cross for your sins and mine. Praise God for His Amazing Grace.

Just a Smile

Hello Everyone,

I smiled at this fellow the other day and he looked at me as if I did something wrong. Smiling ain't bad. I went on my way thinking, I wonder if he thought I was up to no good. All I did was smiled. The other day I waved at a person driving a car down the road I live on. They turned away rather quickly as so not to recognize my friendly wave. All I did was wave. I shared this with my wife and she said that it must have been the way I looked. Yea, that's it. Hey, wait a minute, what's wrong with the way I look. She just smiled at me. It was then that I could see myself there was something wrong with her smile.

Seeing Differently

Hello Everyone,

I was watching this boy and he was making all these funny faces. Every attempted to make a new funny faces had something to do with his eyes. He would cross then he would make one bulge out or keep one closed. Funny thing about your eyes is that you need them to see and with all these attempts to make a funny face each time he was seeing life a little differently. That must be true for folks aren't saved. They see things a little differently - differently than God sees it. Salvation comes when folks start to sees things the way God sees it.

No Worries

Hello Everyone,

My computer is plugged into a surge protector. It is a safety precaution to keep power surges from damaging my computer. It is designed to cut of or stop any harmful electrical jolts that can cause a melt down inside my computer. I am really counting on it to work, because I can't afford to have to pay for a new computer. My life is plugged into another surge protector. It is Jesus Christ. I am really counting on it as well. But with Jesus I have no worries, for I know that He is accountable.

"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one." John 10:28-30

Faithful

Hello Everyone,

This old clock we had was bad to keep the right time. Even if you changed the batteries often it just was not reliable. So one day I brought an new clock for a dollar and replaced the guts with the old clock and gave that new clock a new heart. It has now become reliable and faithful. It is always good to have things around you that are faithful and reliable. Amen.

Savings

Hello Everyone,

I am getting a little weary with all these savings. By now I should be debt free from all the money I am to save by buying these cost saving products. What has come about is that utility companies and gas companies are just charging higher prices. I am still no better off with all this saving stuff. But for sure I am safe and sure about this one thing I am saved in Christ Jesus. Jesus saves.

Staying Close

Hello Everyone,

A really great invention is that of Velcro. You have to admit it has come in handy and made life a little easier in some area. It is hard to believe that millions of tiny little plastic fingers can grab hold and stick so tight. Velcro reminds me of how close I want to walk with God. I want to stick so close with a million of tiny fingers like things hanging on and not letting go. The closer we are to God the better God likes it and the better it is for you and me. Amen.

Time for God

Hello Everyone,

We live in the days where man is busy glorifying the flesh. Folks pay out billions of dollars each year to those who can dunk a basketball, hit home runs or drive a car at 200 mph. And all this keeps folks so busy and tied up with the things of the world that they don't have time for God. Every Sunday is covered with some sort of sporting event. Which leaves little or no time for Church or God. So God is placed on the back burner in life. Just how much time are you giving to God this Sunday? To God be the glory.

"Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD." Messy Job

Hello Everyone,

There is one job that I have mastered. I am very good at getting stains on my shirts. It is a messy job, but I can do it very well. It doesn't required much effort on my part. My wife is forever telling me that I have gotten another stain on my shirt. I just remind her that is my job and her job is to get the stains out. She told me that she was having a hard time keeping up. I just patted her on the shoulders and encouraged her that sure she can, she is the Momma and that I am praying for her.

"Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered." 1 Peter 3:7

Mind of Christ

Hello Everyone,

A few years back a governor of Minnesota made a remark that Christians are mindless cowards that can't think on their own. Which if he would be honest with himself he too would realize that many if not most of his thoughts have been preached or taught to him as well. Very few folks have a complete independent mind that has not been influence in one way or another. It has to do also with how you were bought up as a child. Then peer pressures, schooling and environment has much to one behavior. Truth is a Christian is to have the mind of Christ. Amen and Amen, I like being like Jesus. He is a real Hero you can count on.

Faithful Prayers

Hello Everyone,

A dear friend of mine shared with me that he would be praying for me to choose to do the right things always. He then went on to ask me that I pray the same for him. He made the point that it getting harder and harder to find those who want to do the right thing all the time. Many times, in these last days, folks are forced to make decision where the chooses are not very clear nor simple. Yes sir, we are in need of much prayers in these last days. Let us be found faithful praying one for another.

Right Heart

Hello Everyone,

Have you ever dreaded to do something? I am sure that you have. Nothing is more discouraging than to already have your mind made up that you are not going to like something, even before you try. The start of anything knew has to do with the heart. If you have a wrong heart about something or everything it will lead you to do something wrong. The thing about wrong hearts is that will usually lead you down the wrong road and will rub off wrong on others as well. This can cause you and others to miss God's blessings. Be sure that you start your day with a right heart. God will bless and you will glad you did.

Reading Signs

Hello Everyone,

I was sitting at a traffic light and noticed this car behind me creeping up closer. First thought was he was trying to let another car get behind him. So I pulled up, but no one was behind him and he creep up closer again. Okay what's going on? Now I had it my mind that this fellow was up to no good. So when the light turned green off I went rather quickly. Sure enough he followed. I raced up and tried to get away and he seemed to always be going my way. So I decided to give him the slip. I raced ahead and made two rather quick turns and he was no where to be found. Yes sir I gave him the slip. On my way home it then dawned on me that I have one of those magnetic signs that has the Church name and phone number on the back. He probably thinks I am a nut. I wonder if he was just trying to write down my phone number?

Double Click

Hello Everyone,

On my computer desktop I have a group of icons. These icons are there to allow me a short cut to that program. All I have to do is double click on one of these icons and it opens up that software quickly. That makes it smart and easy and I am all for anything that makes it smart and easy. Yet, I say unto you, what is much smarter and easier that, is all we have to do is pray and we have a conversation with the One who is a lot smarter and much more easier to get to. Now try double clicking something better than that! So what would be the reason for you not to pray?

Monday

Hello Everyone,

It's Monday, Praise the Lord. God has given us another week to do something for Him. I pray that you have had a great week end and ready to start another week with Jesus. I want to encourage you to start each week with and attitude of service for Jesus. That you are going to be found faithful to worship and praise God this week. God is worthy. To Him be the glory.
